You Know When

You know when you have watched so much f-ing television that you actually bought your kid FLOAM today. It looked like fun and I feel bad for the girl since mommy sits in bed all day long :)

SHHHH- Don't Tell

I am sneaking a peak at my blog this morning- thank you so much for all the kind words. I know that this is for the best, but let me tell you- bed rest sucks the big one :)

Hey at least I got Netflix for Christmas :)

A Forced Blog Vacation

My doctor visit on Thursday did not go as well as I planned. I actually ended up in the hospital for a night so they could monitor my blood pressure. It has been fine till now, but it spiked and so my doctor wanted to monitor me. Now I am on bed rest and medication that makes me dizzy. Yeah for me!! Anyway, it looks like this little girl could be here by next weekend since he wanted to induce me last night, but she needs to cook a little longer. So just wish me luck that I don't go crazy over here. These are the times I wish I had a laptop :)

PS Oh yeah and baby's head is down so it looks like a I will be pushing her out :)

Why?

Why is it that I am getting ready to go to the doctor this morning and it is like I am getting ready to go on a date. I shaved my legs (and for 9 months pregnant that is a task), blow dried and straightened my hair, and I even broke out the signature scent. I mean the hubby is lucky if I shave my legs every three weeks at this point. My doctor is a man so I am sure that has something to do with it or I am just pathetic and will take any bit of attention right now even if it is from my OBGYN :)

Big Fun

I've got nothing over here but contractions, hemorrhoids, and backaches. Let's just call me a BIG pile of fun. Oh yeah and I also cry for no reason- that makes my hubby really happy!! Brownies don't even cut it anymore. I think labor might be the only thing that I might put a smile on my face- how sad is that??

PS Don't you just love it when a girl can feel so sorry for herself :)

Love My Girls

Last night my girlfriends threw me a little baby shower. We went out to eat and had such an awesome time. My mom and grandma came too which was nice since some of my friends they have never met. I got my swing and a bunch of baby clothes. They also got me a gift certificate for a facial and massage for after the baby comes (that was the best present of all). I just felt very loved and lucky last night to have such great friends.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

My New Favorite Thing

I was going through my "Bon Appetite" magazine that I still get every year courtesy of the best SIL on the planet and I found these cool chopsticks. Now I will admit that I am almost 30 years old and still have not figured out the wonders of chopstick use. It is something to do with moving the top one up and down that I can not follow. So I ordered these because we love anything Japanese in this house and so that Julia could use them too. Can't wait to get them!

PS- Have you checked out my BFF's blog?? She is back and I am so glad :)

Yeah Blogger is Back and Happy Valentine's Day!!

I have not been able to get into Blogger for 2 days and it was killing me :) But now that it is back I am a happy girl! This morning I woke up to cards and candy from my darling husband and he was home too! He decided to work from home today so that is ALWAYS a nice treat. He had also bought Julia her favorite Hello Kitty stuff so she is so Daddy's girl today. We have a party at her school where I, being a good mom and the last to sign up, are supposed to bring cut up veggies. We will see how that goes over :) Anyway, I hope you all have a great day and may it be filled with lots of love :)

Aren't I Pretty???

Today is my 2 year blog anniversary and Miss. Mia from the wonderful Ciao My Bella graced me with this girlie, yet simple design. Exactly what I wanted :) I thought since there were going to be so much girlie stuff around here, why not have my blog reflect that. Anyway, I hope that everyone is having a great weekend. Also I hope that it feels like February where you are because here is it actually 88 degrees and there are people swimming in our community pool!

Ear Infection Anyone??

Why is it that children have a knack for waiting to 4 pm to tell you that their ear hurts and by then the doctor's office is closing and you have to go to the nasty Urgent Care in your neighborhood? Then you find out that your new insurance that you thought was going to be so good has a co-pay of $85.00 for antibiotics. Then you wait at the pharmacy for an hour till you have to walk up and remind them that you have been waiting and she says "Oh I thought you were picking it tomorrow." Then you wait another 15 minutes while having 2 contractions and you do not get home till 8 pm. Then you remember that you have to wash some clothes if you actually want anything to wear for tomorrow since you have limited maternity clothing and have to do all of that before you get to sit down. Then you read this morning that one of your favorite bloggers is having a health crisis and you realize that you have nothing to complain about.

Thank God it is Friday :)

Yeah Me!

Not on bed rest!!!! Such a relief! I am supposed to take it easy though and I am still trying to figure out how I am to do that with a 3 year old and a house full of laundry. I am sure I will figure a way :) I also passed my 3 hour glucose test so I am free to eat whatever I want! The doctor did inform me that the baby is breech and she has 2 weeks to turn before we have to start thinking about some options. If I decided to have a c-section then this little girl will be here in less than 5 weeks! Luckily I have pretty much everything done besides the washing of the clothes and I have to pack a bag for Julia for when she stays with my dad. I think that I am ready though to be honest- bring it on!!

Thanks for all of your well wishes- I feel much better today :)

I Have a Feeling

I have been having contractions since last night. They are not consistent, but they hurt so much they take my breath away. Anyway, I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and I have a feeling I will be put on bed rest. So not happy about this- actually it makes me want to cry, but what can I do?? So wish me luck and hopefully the next entry will not be about how much I want out of my bed :)

The Things I Have Learned

There are 3 things that I think I have learned through out this pregnancy that I think that I want to pass along to those that are in the early stages of having a baby or want to be pregnant. They are the truths that you hear little about and they are things that regardless of how they make you feel now, they are worth it in the end.

1- The more you try to make yourself comfortable while trying to sleep the less you will be comfortable. I have learned that if something hurts (like a certain part of your back or your shoulder) just lay there till it goes numb because no matter what position you are in it is all going to hurt anyway.

2- No matter how much you feel like you have to pee it will not match how much pee actually comes out. You could be dying and running to the bathroom, but only a little comes out. Your body has a natural way of saving those long bathroom trips for when you are finally comfortable in bed.

3- No matter how much you crave that huge chili dog or bean and cheese burrito with extra onions, you are going to pay for it for sure later. It could also haunt you the next day. So be aware of what you are putting in your mouth because at 3 in the morning it is not so nice coming back up.

That is the best 3 things I can offer. They are things that I think I have finally mastered at 8 months pregnant :) If you think you can add something- please feel free. The more advice we can give the better :)

Hope you all had a great weekend!

You Know When Part 2

You know when your kid is REALLY REALLY sick when she says "Mommy you can watch Oprah instead of Scooby Doo if you want."

Now you see there are advantages to having a sick little one- they don't have the energy to fight for TV time :)

PS Who knew that saying the word BOOB would get me 31 hits just for that word in one hour???

You Know When

You know when you child is REALLY sick after she has thrown up for the third time and she says "Mommy, I don't want candy anymore. I want to eat just vegetables."

*She had a piece of candy after dinner last night and that was the last thing she remembered eating so I think she thought that's what made her sick.
